It was established in 1991 by Ajarn Samai Chinnapa within Saint John's Group of Schools and University (established in 1961). The school offers students an international education from Kindergarten to grade 12. The school is divided into the Primary and Secondary School. The primary school (grades K - 6) follows the International Primary Curriculum combining elements of the British Curriculum (See Education in England) for literacy and numeracy. The secondary school consists of the middle school (grades 7 and 8), which follows the International Middle Years Curriculum and the high school (grades 9 - 12), which follows an American style curriculum in secondary. With full provision made for study in Thai language and culture (including Thai Dancing) as required by the Thai Ministry of Education. During high school students follow the International High School Diploma, with provision for students to take GCSE / iGCSE should they choose. Students graduating from the school receive a high school diploma which permits entry to university throughout the world. For Thai students they will also receive Mathayom 6 high school leaving equivalency, and therefore enables a smooth transition to Thai public and private universities. Classes are taught by expatriate teachers of various nationalities, giving the school a true international feel.
